Our client, an international business-to-business telecommunications player, was looking to greatly impact its relationship with over 1,000 suppliers: the plan was to implement a paperless procure to pay (P2P) environment and portal to eliminate manual processes, improve transaction velocity, and provide accurate & actionable data enabling the business to scale and accelerate revenue realization. In addition to onboarding your own employees, how do you convince people who don’t work for you to adopt your new tools?
We built and implemented an innovative approach to engage suppliers and employees throughout the program execution and launch. Based on a thorough change management assessment, Envision selected several methods to drive to success, including a Vendor Advisory Board, countdown communications starting over 120 days before launch, an information website for suppliers with videos of client executives discussing the new program, learning programs, user readiness dashboards and more!
Our efforts delivered great results, as over 50% of suppliers adopted the new portal and processes in the first week, and over 88% adopted it within 3 weeks of the launch. The Chief Procurement Officer thanked us: “Envision brought great expertise and innovation to resolve this challenge for us.
