At Envision, making a difference is at the core of what we do. And this commitment doesn’t just drive our business. It defines our relationship to the community. Through the Envision Foundation, we provide essential funding to help local nonprofits enact positive change. Our involvement goes beyond writing a check to local agencies. We share our time and expertise, working actively with our nonprofit partners to help them implement their initiatives and fulfill their missions.

Envision Foundation is a donor-advised fund of The Denver Foundation, and our participation extends to all of the communities we serve. The Denver Foundation helps steward Envision’s work by connecting us with the community causes that our team members care about the most.

Freedom Service Dogs

We are so proud to have recently partnered with Freedom Service Dogs, a nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and training them for individual needs. Freedom Service Dogs’ clients include children, veterans, active duty military, and other adults. Their disabilities include autism, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among others. What we love about Freedom Service Dogs is how they’re doing good all over – rescuing dogs who need a forever home and pairing them with individuals to are able to lead fuller, more independent lives with the help of an assistance dog. The bond between dogs and owners is profound, as the videos we’ve posted below will show.

Our financial support will enable Freedom Service Dogs to complete in-home training of one service dog for a year. What’s more, we’ll be supporting FSD by rolling up our sleeves and heading to their facility throughout the year with our fantastic team of employees for some hands-on support of one of our favorite do-good organizations.

Watch these videos to learn more about the important work that FSD does for both dogs, and people in need. In the meantime, Team Envision gives a hearty salute to the invaluable contribution Freedom Service Dogs brings to our community–38t68

Girls Inc.

Girls Inc. of Metro Denver recently awarded $65,000 in college scholarships to eight amazing girls at the inaugural My Bold Future luncheon. One of those girls was Aide Perez Dominguez. Aide began attending programs at Girls Inc. of Metro Denver when she was in third grade. Through the years, Aide participated in programs at Girls Inc. of Metro Denver about entrepreneurship, art, health and sexuality, STEM disciplines, leadership and much more.

In her scholarship application, Aide wrote the following about her experience at Girls Inc. of Metro Denver:

“Girls Inc. has taught me to love myself and, most importantly, to help and inspire others in any way possible. I am the first woman in my family history, tracing back four hundred years, to speak English, to have an education, and to go to college. My younger sister and my little cousin look up to me because I am changing something as big as family history. When I go to college, I will continue to inspire young Latina women to follow their hearts and to put effort into everything that they want to do.”

Shortly after the 2016 My Bold Future luncheon, Aide graduated from Arrupe Jesuit High School in Denver. She is now showing the world what a strong, smart and bold girl can do as a student at the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota.

Supporting and empowering young women means a lot to Envision and is why our Foundation is proud to partner with them. Several of our team members are active with Girls Inc., and provide mentoring and leadership to young women in our community.
